This task involves the development of an integrated environmental monitoring system designed for the preservation of cultural artifacts. The system records key environmental parameters that affect material stability (temperature, humidity, and luminance) using a set of low-cost sensors. All sensors are interfaced with an Arduino-based microcontroller, responsible for data acquisition and communication through the I2C protocol. A GSM module ensures reliable data telemetry at predefined time intervals, enabling continuous remote monitoring. The collected measurements are stored and made accessible through a dedicated web application within the broader TEXTaiLES platform, providing a unified environment for data visualization and management. The entire system will be housed in a compact, 3D-printed enclosure, designed for durability, ease of installation and long-term operational stability.
